Tarí Cream… a feast of flavor

By Manuela Lora

In March 2012, the alliance between the Peruvian multinational Alicorp and the famous chef, also Peruvian, Gastón Acurio, was announced for the launch of the “Tari” chili cream.

More than 10 years have passed since the presentation of this product and the reality is that Peruvians look for this cream to season their meals as if they had been using it for decades.

On a grilled chicken, some fresh vegetables, next to a plate of anticuchos or dipping some pieces of chicharrón are just some of the ways in which both Peruvians and citizens of each of the countries where Alicorp has a presence prefer to consume this delicious chili cream.

Chef Acurio created Tarí cream using secrets, ingredients and traditional techniques from the housewives of the Peruvian coast, but also from the mountains and jungle of this South American country, which he was able to experience through his many trips through Peruvian territory. Thanks to this combination, Peruvians find that spicy touch that they like so much.

A decade after the launch of Tarí cream, Chef Acurio has highlighted that its success represents the alliance between Peruvian chefs, producers and businessmen, who through mutual trust and the development of Peruvian technologies, contribute to the promotion of Peruvian flavor in the world.

Alicorp's Tarí cream is prepared with fresh yellow chili and other natural ingredients such as garlic, onion, huacatay and other spices and is available at LatinDOPE.com

To produce its Tarí sauces, Alicorp uses an estimated 1,500 tons of yellow chili, which it buys from farmers who are part of its production chain in Ica, Pisco, Cañete, Lima, Huaral and Huaura, in Perú.
